Increase sales by 50 percent

Did you know that up to 50% more sales can be made - simply be ensuring that each account is being visited by one sales person rather than by multiple sales people? That is what the recent results from i-snapshots research and analysis of over 6 sales million visits has revealed.
Our recent interview with Alan Timothy, CEO of i-snapshot, helped us understand that by having the insight - sales will increase.
First of all what is "i-snapshot"?
A: It is a sales reporting system, which sales teams use out in the field.
Using either an app on a smart phone or SMS on a regular mobile, the sales person details what happened after each sales visit by selecting a series of possible outcomes from a predefined menu structure.
It takes around 30 seconds to compile a report and send. Once it has been sent - the report immediately appears on line in a secure area where it can be viewed.
The online report can then be further analysed along with past and present reports.
How many companies in the "building and construction sector" have used i-snapshot?
A: Off the top of my head? over twenty globally. The first i-snapshot user was actually a building material company. Companies such as Premdor, Jewson, Howarth, Ridgeons and JT Dove have all used i-snapshot.
So what have been the results?
A: There is always a sudden lift in sales visits.
There are a number of reasons for this - you can't get away from the fact that i-snapshot has a positive effect on those who tend not to do as much as the others! The reduction of time spent on sales reporting has a large impact too - less time reporting more time selling!
However it isn't just about numbers of visits. Insight into activity provides leaders and the sales teams with the ability to see what calling activity works as opposed to what doesn't. Having access to this information, the sales team can quickly and effectively change that - resulting in them becoming more successful.
Due to this we see an increase in conversion rates, product coverage changes increase in revenue per individuals and ultimately an increase in sales profit.
What is the most interesting trend that you have seen?
A: That customers do respond better to having one allocated sales person rather than many! We did a statistical analysis of our data and found that an average of 50% more sales are made when all visits are made by the same salesperson to an account rather than by a number of different sales people to the same account.
This is a small change that the sales team can make, that can have a huge impact.
